Where to Stay Advice
Choosing the right Holiday Resort - a first time Holiday on Menorca or perhaps returning after a good few years away (without the Kids) ?
Good to Know - Resorts
We are independent and don't describe a Resort as the 'BEST just because our hotels are there' - we've spent lot of holidays in our second home and explored Menorca for well over 30 years so we feel we know what every Beach resort / location is really like and at different times of the year... Our Beach Resort and Town Guides will help you make your perfect choice.
'Resort Hotels' - with extensive grounds that include multiple shops, activities,Cafes and Restaurants on a single site don't exist on Menorca

Menorca Beach Resorts
A beach paradise close to home. Most Beach Resorts have amazing soft sand but very few are alike
Menorca's Beach Resorts are not over developed and are mostly seasonal with few residents ( exceptions : Calan Porter,Cala Blanca and Santandria)
Menorca is an island bathed in sunshine and blessed with so many beautiful beaches - but it's also an easy place to experience more, secret coves and pristine landscapes full of history, cycle and walking trails combined with traditional town and village charms. So where to stay and visit? Whether you're single, a family with young children or a couple there's usually a resort that's just right for YOU. It's important to remember that Menorca is small and you really don't have to travel far to enjoy Menorca's attractions beyond your accommodation Resort - out and about on Menorca
Discovering your Best Resort
...it might be a town or countryside location. With so many beaches, you are never very far way not matter where you vacation stay is.
Away from the Beach
Menorca's two main cities, Ciutadella and Mahon each have a lot of attraction, are quite different to each other, but both equally appealing to visit. Inland and harbour towns are never that far from a sandy beach and allow you to enjoy an authenic atmosphere not found at a Beach Resort. They all provide a great base to explore the Island and experience it's culture, especially in Spring or Autumn seaons.Menorca's Cities and Towns
Airport Transfers with young families
Public buses are not practical for Resorts Transfers from Airport ( you must always change at Mahon main bus station ) so you will need either a shared or private transfer, Taxi or Hire Car. West coast resorts are often best via a Transfer rather than Taxi due to costs - taxi circa 60-73 Eur one way max of 4 people. We recommend Shuttle Menorca.
Menorca Tips - note despite the apparent many offers in Internet there are only three licensed companies who actually provide the service on Menorca, so ensure you know who you are booking with before paying.
If your Transfer is not included in your Holiday or you don't fancy the possible long waits for other arriving passengers/multiple hotel drop offs consider a private Transfer or Taxi.
Airport Taxis - you cannot pre-book child seats ( so you will have to bring your own ) - Police fines : by law children MUST have correct seating. Babies / Toddlers are illegal if sat on a lap!
Best Resorts for Families?
There are definite differences and each beach resort has it's own face. Some geared more towards package holiday hotels, some more to relaxing in individual villas with authentic Menorca closer by. Family friendly resorts abound with no need to avoid drunken revellers.
Young families - Young children love Menorca's sandy shallow beach fronts. Parents might want it quiet or 'buzzy' for the kids. There are more suitable resorts near the airport for quick transfers.
Menorca Teenagers- We've highlighted those resorts where Teenagers might meet others or if they are sporty or adventure minded where there are activities in or near the resort. Menorca with TeenagersBest Beach Resorts for Families
